John Higgins, Vice President of Talent Management
John Higgins joined Bridgepoint Education, a provider of innovative solutions that advance learning, in November, 2011. As Vice President of Talent Management, Mr. Higgins is responsible for providing an integrated model of talent development to Bridgepoint Education employees, including talent acquisition and on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, and compensation and benefits.
During his 29-year career, Mr. Higgins has held various leadership positions with multiple Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, KPMG, BearingPoint and Accenture. He has also served on the executive coaching faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. His expertise spans key operational business functions, human resources and service innovation.
Prior to joining Bridgepoint Education, Mr. Higgins founded Higgins Learning Group, an independent advisory firm, providing thought leadership to global corporations in the areas of talent management strategy, leadership development, and the transformation of learning and development to the online classroom environment. Leveraging process and technology innovation, Mr. Higgins has successfully led clients through complex transformation projects to create sustainable business impact and value.
Mr. Higgins earned his MBA in International Business from the University of Miami and a BS in Management from Nova Southeastern University. He holds a graduate certificate in executive coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas.
